Kim Echlin
Kim Echlin is an award-winning Canadian novelist, author of Elephant Winter, The Disappeared, Dagmar’s Daughter, Under the Visible Life. She has been translated into 20 languages including Arabic. She is also a teacher and a documentary-maker.
Kim has translated the Sumerian poetry about the goddess Inanna in Inanna: A New English Version. She has also worked collaboratively on translations from Ojibway, Chinese, and French. It is her privilege to work now on the Arabic-language poetry of Rasha Omran with Abdelrehim Youseff. She has participated in literary festivals in North America, Iceland, Pakistan and Egypt.
She currently lives in Toronto where she teaches at the School for Continuing Studies, University of Toronto. She is working on a new novel about the International Criminal Court.
